Today (May 5th), I turn twenty-nine (again!!), and I am looking forward to celebrating it over a lovely dinner with my husband.
During the year, I see our students happily celebrating their birthdays with giant bouquets of fruit, or cupcakes, or a lovely song sung in French or Mandarin. I am lucky to work at a school, where I feel excitement generated from the anticipation of the coming year... There's so much to discover and to learn! From the moment you lean over to blow out the candles on your cake and hear people singing "Happy Birthday" (or, Joyeux Anniversaire in my case)... You realize that anything is possible! This is one of the many benefits of working with children... You stay forever young!
Of course, instead of wanting a new doll for my birthday, today, you'll find me asking INTL* parents to give the school the gift of one more year of their support! My, how times have changed!
