Congratulations to INTL* elementary French immersion student, Rémi S., who did extremely well in the "Dictée PGL" competition, a French-style spelling/dictation test. "La Dictée PGL" was created as a way to encourage children to improve their French writing skills. Rémi has been selected to participate in the International Final Dictée in Montréal in May.
Middle school student Chloé M. also recently won first prize for the 3rd consecutive year at the "Dictée de la Baie."
Placing or winning at dictée is a tremendous accomplishment, as French language can be challenging to write. There are numerous grammar, sentence structure and spelling rules to remember and follow and the dictée rigorously tests students' writing mechanics skills.
