Last week, INTL* welcomed French fiction writer, Catherine Missonier, to school. Although she originally began her career as an urban planner, Mme. Missonier answered her calling as a fiction writer and switched career paths later in life.

She shared writing lessons with our 3rd-5th French immersion students, focusing on:

• 3rd grade, writing a synopsis for a new detective novel
• 4th grade, interview of a writer
• 5th grade, design and construct a newspaper

Our students read "Superman contre CE2", "Extraterrestre appelleCM1", and "Les CM2 à la Une".

*In 2020, the International School of the Peninsula (ISTP) formally changed its name to Silicon Valley International School (INTL) to better reflect its bilingual programs, location, and international values.
