Stand Up Against Bullying!

Stand Up Against Bullying!

Silicon Valley International School* proudly participates in the annual International Stand Up to Bullying Day, a global movement designed to draw attention to the effects of and to teach non-confrontational ways to deal with bullying. INTL's Student Council spearheads the movement at school, encouraging students to wear pink as a pledge to stand up against bullying.

This year, INTL released special "Stand Against Bullying" t-shirts (in 3 languages) on our INTL CafePress Store and the community was encouraged to purchase shirts and wear them to school on Friday, February 28.

In this special video below, Student Council Coordinators and English Teachers Erin O'Rielly and Susan Brooks explain the movement, our students' involvement, and what children can learn from the event. Students also share what they would do if they were faced with bullying - watch the video, and the wonderful words from our students.
