# Planning for the Future

Oct 22, 2010

It was obvious that this was a discussion that needed to happen, and my husband and I decided to engage in the estate planning process. It was one of the biggest gifts we could have given to ourselves and our daughters — peace of mind. In addition, we were able to make arrangements to support the one organization that has meant the most to our family’s life: [INTL\*](https://istp.org”). Estate planning and planned gifts are things that everyone can benefit from. Long after my husband and I are gone, in addition to taking care of our children, we will still be able to make an impact on the school and its future. If you are interested in learning more about planning for the future, please join us at an informal gathering at Paru Yusuf’s residence on Friday, November 5 at 6:00 p.m. We will have an estate planning professional there who will be happy to answer your questions. [**Please click here to register.**](https://www.istp.org/podium/default.aspx?t=36644&rid=3200)

** \*In 2020, the International School of the Peninsula (ISTP) formally changed its name to Silicon Valley International School (INTL) to better reflect its bilingual programs, location, and international values.**
