The High School’s long-term exchange program is taking off and expanding with exciting new opportunities! What began with our first Paris exchange last year has now expanded into a vibrant global network of partner schools that offer deep cultural immersion and real academic challenge.
This year, students can step into life at partner schools in Avilés, Spain (San Fernando School), Hangzhou, China (Hangzhou Foreign Language Academy), Münster, Germany (Gymnasium Paulinum), and Paris, France (École Alsacienne and Ermitage).
For bilingual French students, they have the unique opportunity to study in Tahiti, French Polynesia, where experiential learning happens surrounded by natural beauty and rich cultural traditions.
The magic of these exchanges does not end abroad. When visiting students join us on campus from France, Germany, or elsewhere, our own classrooms come alive with new voices, perspectives, and friendships. These interactions weave global understanding directly into daily life at Silicon Valley International School (INTL).
This year alone, 17 of our High School students are studying abroad, and we have welcomed 19 visiting students in return. Through these long-term exchanges, students grow in independence, expand their language skills, and experience what it means to live within another culture. These experiences enrich their high school years and shape confident, open-minded, young adults ready to thrive in an interconnected world.
