Celebrating Creativity and Unity at INTL’s "One World" Arts Night

Celebrating Creativity and Unity at INTL’s

The annual Arts Night at Silicon Valley International School (INTL) has always been a festival of imagination, expression, and collaboration, but in honor of the school’s 45th anniversary, this year’s event took it to another level. With the inspiring theme “One World,” the campus was transformed for the evening into a vibrant tribute to the strength and beauty of global unity. From the moment guests arrived, the setting was imbued with a deep sense of togetherness, setting the tone for an unforgettable celebration.

At the entrance, a giant illuminated globe greeted attendees, symbolizing the interconnectedness of cultures, ideas, and communities. Beside it, a striking "One World" lettering display served as both a photo backdrop and a statement of the night’s core message: unity. Framing the door, a stunning collage featuring portrait photos of 759 students reinforced the theme. As faces from a variety of backgrounds formed a collective mosaic, it became clear that the evening was more than just an arts showcase—it was a celebration of the diverse community that makes INTL unique.

The Cohn Campus came alive as a delighted sea of parents, teachers, students, and alumni filled the hallways, bringing an electric energy to the event. Every corner of the campus was transformed into a visual feast, with colorful and imaginative art exhibits created by INTL students from Preschool through 10th Grade. The artistic prowess of the students was on full display, leaving attendees in awe of their talent and creativity.

Showcasing Artistic Talent and Vision
Many parents expressed amazement at the elegance and sophistication of the pieces, marveling at the artistic skill demonstrated by such young students. One INTL parent said, “I love seeing the work that all the students have done and seeing how hard they've worked over the last few weeks to build their creation. It’s really really nice to see their finished product.”

For students, Arts Night provided a platform to proudly showcase their work, turning the campus into an artistic journey. Each masterpiece was accompanied by thoughtful descriptions, allowing attendees to glimpse the processes and inspirations behind the art.

Parents also find Arts Night to be a meaningful way to connect with the school’s dynamic creative culture and acknowledge the dedication of the faculty. As one parent expressed: “Because we know that the teachers work so hard all of the time, Arts Night is a great chance to both appreciate the students' artwork and the work that the teachers are doing with our kids.”

Fostering Generations of Community and Connection
One of the highlights of Arts Night is the way it brings together generations of the INTL community. Alumni often return to reminisce about their own experiences and marvel at the creative talents of current students. Reflecting on this sentiment, one alum shared: “I just love seeing all of the work that’s put in by the students. I remember when I was very young at INTL, I would always beg my parents to come so that they could see my work put on display. It’s also wonderful to see everybody -- the community, alumni, current students, and the teachers.”

A Night to Remember
As attendees explored the campus, they immersed themselves in the diverse forms of expressive art, gaining insight into how INTL nurtures creativity as an integral part of education. For many, Arts Night was a powerful reminder of the school’s commitment to fostering global thinkers and the enduring impact of an INTL education.

Arts Night would not be possible without the work, time, and dedication put in by so many members of INTL’s teachers, faculty and staff, and both parent and student volunteers. This point was highlighted by a teacher who said, “there’s so much work that leads up to it, and while working on Cohn Campus I see this whole project evolving. It's really impressive to witness this school transform into a gallery.”
