Silicon Valley International School (INTL) is thrilled to share the results of our Class of 2025 International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme students from the May 2025 examination session. These results reflect not only academic excellence, but also the resilience, discipline, and international-mindedness that define our school community.
This year, our students joined over 202,000 candidates worldwide. We are proud to report a 100% pass rate, with every one of our candidates successfully earning their IB Diploma. Globally, 81.3% of candidates achieved the Diploma. Moreover, three of our students earned the Advanced Bilingual Diploma and three other students earned the Bilingual Diploma, also representing a 100% pass rate for our bilingual programs.
Our students achieved an average score of 35 points, significantly exceeding the global average of 31 points (out of a possible 45). This is an indicator of the strength of our IB programme and the quality of teaching and learning at our school. It’s also a reflection of the countless hours of work our students have invested in their academics.
We would also like to recognize some truly exceptional individual achievements. Our top score was 41 points, a remarkable accomplishment that places the two students who earned that score among the top-performing IB students globally. Even more impressively, four of our students scored 40 points or higher. This is over 30% of the class who are within the 4.7% of students worldwide earning that high a score. This proportion is extraordinary and speaks volumes about the ambition and capability of our students.
Beyond the numbers, what makes this achievement so meaningful is the journey each student took to get here. The IB Diploma Programme is intentionally rigorous, and is designed to prepare students not just for university, but for life as curious, critical thinkers and compassionate global citizens. Our students met the challenge with integrity, resilience, and a genuine love of learning.
These results are also a testament to the dedication of our teachers, who guided and supported students across two years of challenging coursework, as well as to the families who provided encouragement and belief throughout the journey.
We are immensely proud of our students.
